Websites that selling macbooks and kakaku…

So I will buy a Macbook Pro. Amazon sometimes have discounts. But the thing I realized is that in kakaku.com, there are much better deals. But, there are a lot of Japanese websites there, and I cannot make sure if it is a legit company and will deliver the product as advertised or, if it is a scam by any means.
How can I make sure? Any recommendation suggestions would be highly appreciated.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is

  2. There are better deals because they are older units. Apple in store pricing and vendor MSRP are the same. So you take your chances with the stores, but can assume that anything ranked high on kakaku is fine.

  3. Not foolproof by any means, but I simply google the website in question both in Japanese google and English. Adding “reddit” at the end of a search is almost always a good idea, because first few pages is generally advertisement thinly veiled as reviews.

  4. From my experience, if it’s listed on kakaku, then it’s a legit company and you won’t be scammed. The kakaku special deals are often the best.

That said, some of the cheaper shops are likely to have worse policies (such as for returns). Also be careful that you are comparing the exact same models, look into the specifications carefully.

  5. Buy refurb from Apple Store if you want to save a few yen.

The body will be completely new and you’ll get a fresh warranty with the option to extend with AppleCare.
