I am living in Kyoto and working on an article discussing moving to Kyoto (or general moving to/within Japan). I have many in mind things like the apartment agency I used to find my apartment (フラットエージェンシー) or moving services like Kokusai Express, but in general, I’d like a discussion about experiences people have had, especially if you live in Kyoto. So things like what services or products made moving to Kyoto (or Japan) much easier and you’d recommend someone who plans on moving soon to use. Also, ancedotes and/or advice about what your own experience was like. Struggles you uniquely faced and how you overcame it or adapting to Japanese life. Whatever you might think of! ☺️

Is it possible for Redditors to get credit for contributing to your article 🙄
I moved to kyoto this year as a student. If you’re on a budget, you can’t miss shopping from Gakusei Recycle near Kyoto University (Yoshida Campus). I pretty much bought all the furniture and appliances I needed for about 5万. As for the housing agency, I contacted multiple and most of them provide services in English too. I speak Japanese so I didn’t have much difficulty communicating with the agent or signing the contract etc
