There is a series that I would like to rent on prime video but everything that is digital does not allow me to pay with my American card, it only accepts a Japanese card (which I do not have)
When I click on “see more options” it shows me to enter a gift card at the bottom
My question is if you can rent with a gift card in yen? Has anyone tried or know, or is there definitely no way?

The bigger issue is that most digital video media online is region locked by IP address. If you’re not using a VPN (and one that Amazon can’t see) then that might be a bigger issue.
Theoretically yes, but only Japanese gift cards work on Amazon jp. And these you can only buy in Japanese stores, with a credit card or another option, which (if I remember correctly) is also only available in Japan.
Also, you need to set your home location in Amazon.jp to a Japanese address, otherwise you can’t buy digital content (at least that’s what you need to do for eBooks).
With your card you mean your credit card? Because I never had Problems with mine (Visa from Germany) and easily can buy things on Amazon.jp (with high shipping costs lol)
