First attempt at salmon nigiri!


Also my first time using trader joe’s salmon! Usually I use Costco salmon and just make poke by default. Also ignore that piece in the back right, had extra rice I didn’t wanna waste.

  1. Seriously great job did your fist time, you have sushi talent. Just a suggestion, put a fair bit less rice, and try and make your cuts more even (thickness wise). This is very hard to do without a very sharp knife, so start looking into sharpening. But you did a very good job, with practice you have a very high ceiling. Keep it up!

  2. Awesome! Question, did you do anything special to the salmon before consuming? Like salt and sugar cure? Or did you just defrost it and eat it as-is? Figuring out how to make my salmon rolls!
