I’m at a restaurant with no English speaking staff. This is a squid roll of some sort that came in a squid plate.
What’s unique is it was overwhelming spicy, eyes almost watering, sinuses clearing, but it passed incredibly quickly, like 15 seconds. No more fire. I’d love to know what this is so I can order again

Wasabi.
The green bits are pickled chopped wasabi leaf stems
“Real wasabi” or kizami wasabi, served with some dishes at my local. It’s fresh grated wasabi root as opposed to the processed paste in the tubes. I much prefer the grated.
