Work holiday visa while living in a different country

I have a weird question regarding work-holiday visa

I tried searching in this sub and on the internet in general but couldn’t find an answer…

I live in a country that doesn’t have work-holiday visa agreement with Japan, but on the same time I also have a citizenship from a country that does have an agreement without cap on the number of visas.

I wanted to ask if it’s possible for me to go to that country for a period of 3-4 weeks, and submit the request for work-holiday?

will there be issues if I don’t have an address or things related to that country

but provide all the documents from my country of origin?

  2. I suppose it depends on the policies of the Japanese embassy to your country as well as the specific terms of the agreement with Japan.

For some countries being able to present yourself in person to the embassy is enough. Others will need you to have an address where you can receive mail. I’ve heard some even want some sort of proof of at least 90 days residency.

The best thing to do is to call the relevant embassy and ask them directly.
