I will be studying in Japanese Language School in Japan for 2 years after that I will come back to my home country for a month. After that I will join University in Japan for undergraduation for 4 years and after that I will be studying another course in Japan for another 4 years which mean I have spent like 10 years in Japan. Can I get permanent residency for this or I have to do something else?

**Question related to permanent residency**

I might be wrong, but I believe that the years spent in Japan on a Student Visa don’t count for permanent residency.
Of the 10 years you must be holding a working status for at least 5 years. So being a student for 10 years isn’t going to be enough.
