Physical suica stops working after transferring to IPhone?

I had a physical suica, I noticed that once I transferred the card to iPhone. The physical suica basically doesn’t work anymore.

Is there some way for me to have this physical suica to still function? Do I have to undo the iPhone transfer or something?

  1. It doesn’t work anymore. I’m not sure but I think it tells you this when you transfer. Might as well toss it

  2. That’s how it’s supposed to be. Once you transfer it, the physical card is invalid.

  3. Yep.

When I transferred mine, I was simply prompted to bin my physical suica.

Similarly, if you use an Apple Watch, you can use your Suica on the phone -OR- watch. It’s one Suica per-device rather than per-user.

  4. Nope, you invalidated it. As others stated, you cannot have two copies of a single card, be it physical or virtual.

If you wanted a different card on the phone you should have just made a new one rather than transferring it.

  5. I may be wrong but I think you can take that card to a JR station office and they can make it like a Suica card that isn’t connected to a name. Are you saying you want the physical card to still use as a charge card?
