I’m planning on cycling from Tokyo to and around Mt. Fuji. The entire trip around is a bit too much for me, so I was thinking of going around the north side to visit the five lakes and then take the train from Fuji-shi back to Tokyo. I contacted a shop that rents bicycles with services in English, asking them if they also rented 輪行バッグ. I got the reply that they do, but only to people with experience in using them and with an astronomical deposit on the bike.
Are there any places that rent out bikes for multiple days that you’re able to take on the train? Or that allow you to pick the bike up in Tokyo, but drop it off in Fuji-shi?
