Best SMS app for Japan?

For one reason or another I went data only a few years back. Don’t want a contract again but I need to occasionally receive an SMS for certain apps etc. I saw someone mention an app/site that allows you to do this on here, but I forgot to note it down, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
