Business degree with comp sci self study or just comp sci degree

Im a first year in college and was wondering whether I’d be better off sticking to my business degree and just studying computer science on my own (picking up certs etc) or should I switch to computer science.
Will my self-study and certs even be taken seriously? Would knowledge of business (accounting and finance) even make a difference to my employability in the tech industry?

Edit: btw as part of my business degree I study Japanese but I should be able to keep that module even if I switch majors and also in third year of the business course I spend 8 months working in Japan with the option to finish my degree there

  2. Switch to computer science. Business is a useless undergrad degree for the most part other than forcing you to develop soft skill.

  3. What do you want to do for work for the rest of your life?

For what it is worth, i would never hire someone who “self studied” computer science, unless they had a ton of experience. There are a lot of boring-ass fundamental classes, which are necessary to be great. Most people who self study skip the boring tedious stuff, so they have to learn the hard way. I don’t want to pay someone to learn the hard way.
