Learning Japanese is probably one of the smartest moves I could’ve made as a person. I grew up sheltered and abused as a kid and was strangely attatched to anime despite not knowing exactly as an english speaking kid.
Fast forward to now, and learning how the japanese language system works from the ground up finally let me appreciate how beautiful Japan (and the rest of the Asian sphere of the world) truly is beneath the superficial “oppai lolicon desu uwu” type stuff you usually see non-japanese people spouting randomly;. speaking, reading, and even *thinking* in Japanese just *feels* right to do. It calms me down and I find confidence to do normal people things like standing up for myself and speaking my mind.
Im not some insane weaboo either. At least I hope not…
I just oddly relate to Asian culture more than I do western. Neither is better in my mind, I just personally feel better when I watch anime with no subs or dubs, or when I can articulate and express myself in ways that would sound “ridiculous” or “stupid” in english. Anime has always been there for me in the darkest points of my life, so maybe Im just finally starting to realize that and appreciate the culture that manifested it to begin with.
ありがとぐさいますジャパン!!! 私和に補腎ですと私があんぃ奥です。。。

Not weird, learning a language does that
Learning a language means learning the culture
Means learning the people
Happy that you’re learning Japanese. A little concerned after seeing your ending sentence.
Japanese is a really special language to me as well :)) I will assume you are self taught, right? Me too. I recommend the genki textbooks for N5 and N4, and the quartet ones for N3 – N2. Just a personal preference. 日本語は難しくないけど、たくさん勉強して練習すべきですよね。頑張ってください
this is good for you and all but what’s the last sentence supposed to mean??
