I live in a mansion and my parking spot is next to a trash cage. Trash cage is severely rusted and the frame has broken in several places and is missing several parts. The cage doors didn’t even close since the latches don’t line up due to the warped frame.
A storm came and swung the door into my car. It’s been a couple of months and the housing company has barely been responding to my emails and calls and has not fixed the trash cage problem, they installed a new latch but it will likely break again since it’s about to fall apart. Also anyone opening the bin can swing it into my car.. so obvious design oversight.
Any advise on how I can get this mattered resolved ? Housing company is horrible bit I otherwise love where I live

Have you tried requesting to move your parking spot?
Let your insurance company handle it.
You should have paid for the 火災保険 when you moved in. Use a lawyer if you need to, but housing needs to help you with that. I used it when a typhoon caused something to crack my windshield.
Do you also have private insurance for your car? Try to see if they can cover that.
buy an angle grinder and dismantle/dissect the cage under cover of darkness.
dispose of it bit by bit in local convivence store trash receptacles. (Everything is burnable at a certain point.)
Alternatively, convert the pieces into art work and gift them to other occupants of the building. But nothing too obvious like a miniature reproduction of the cage!
eventually someone will notice the missing cage and highlight this to management. Important. Don’t be the person to highlight the missing cage as there is no need to draw unwanted attention to yourself. If asked respond with “well. Maybe this time get one that opens from the top!”
(for future reference, it would have been preferable if you asked here for directions before charging around asking for action).
