  1. Unless you have a doctors note (which sounds like you don’t) then it’s reasonable to request you show up to work.

Have you seen a doctor at all? Because it really sounds like you haven’t and unfortunately the real world can’t really afford to take your word on it alone.

“well hyde said he was seriously injured and that he’s still hurt” “well did he go to the doctors what did they say?” “He didn’t we just have to take his word on it” “Ok well tell him to get to work”

If you’re fine enough to not go to the doctor you’re essentially fine enough to work. If you have any sick days you can use them but honestly it’s better to go to the doctor.

  2. If you were hit by a dump truck mirror you may be entitled to compensation. You should see a doctor and a lawyer.

  3. Send an email asking if you can rest because of back pain. When they reject in writing go to work and re-injure back. Profit.

  4. If this happened while you were working or commuting to work, you need to see a doctor and file a work accident report ASAP, there might be benefits and insurance available to support you, see here for more information: [最終版__英語(第一編) (mhlw.go.jp)](https://www.mhlw.go.jp/new-info/kobetu/roudou/gyousei/rousai/dl/zentai/eigo1.pdf)

If this was during your time off, you should still be able to get some time off to recover, just ask for a proper doctor’s note. If your injuries get worse and you are not able to work, you can be sure your manager won’t be paying your bills.

  5. Same situation here, went to a clinic got an xray though there was no bone fracture i was still in pain and in no way in shape to work, i still requested a doctors note(2000円)then showed it to my employer.I requested a 7 day rest and if the pain still persist that i go back for an MRI. This is all paid by the insurance, though i only get 60% daily salary from resting(not yuukyuu)

  6. Doctors sometimes forget that paperwork exists. I got super duper sick once and was waiting for my doctor to bring up the 診断書. He didn’t. I ended up calling back later to get one and he was like “oh for sure no problem. How long do you want to go for 1 week? 2 weeks? I can backdate it if you want.” Totally willing to hand it out on request, but it just never occurred to him to offer it

Explicitly ask your doctor for a 診断書

  7. Request a Shindanshou that states his advice of resting for a week and your workplace will back off. It will cost you something in the ballpark of 3000 yen to get the note, but it’s worth it.

  8. When I got into a bicycle accident going home from work, a bystander called an ambulance for me, and I got brought to the hospital. Had to pay for medical expenses but since I was going home from work, it was considered a 労災 or 労働災害. Medical expenses were then reimbursed. Just had to fill up some documents.
This is why I wear a helmet to and from work because if I don’t and I get into an accident, it will be outside the company’s jurisdiction and it will be my responsibility. That also applies if you I go outside my normal route to go home.
Also, you should be entitled to use your leave.
