  1. United Empire has been feuding with the LA Dojo since Resurgence, it just makes sense.

  2. It makes sense as a match, the united empire have been feuding with the LA dojo boys. It scares me though, Shibata is a mad man and I don’t want to see him get hurt again

Im not saying that Ospreay is an unsafe worker but watching Shibata take a Hidden Blade would be kinda terrifying

  3. Shibata can’t take headshots. He went rogue at Wrestle Kingdom. This isn’t going to happen as easily as you assume.

  4. Shibata is my favourite wrestler of all time & Ospreay is currently one of my active favourites, but I’m not sure I want this match to happen.

Quite frankly they’re both mad men with no regard for their own safety and I would hate to see anything bad happening to them, the thought of Shibata taking a hidden blade makes me shudder.

No doubt it would be phenomenal, just makes me worried.

  5. Love the idea of this match happening, but Gedo or whoever lays this match needs to sit with both guys and go over what’s gonna happen even more than any other match so we don’t have Shibata hurt all over again, or Ospreay for that matter. That said, you know it would be something great. I’m actually thinking they could do a match similar to Chono vs Kobashi in 03 when Kobashi attempted the half Nelson suplex to the outside on Chono, even tho there was no way Chono could take that bump with his neck injuries; they could do that tease with the Hidden Blade maybe

  6. Do I want Shibata back in the ring beating the shit out of people? Yes, you’ve no idea how much I want this

Do I think it’s a good idea for NJPW to ever clear him, especially given the incident where Shibata inadvertently killed someone who also suffered a previous head injury? No

  7. As long as AEW doesnt persuade NJPW to make him face Orange Cassidy lol I would prefer we get this match first IF he is healthy enough to compete

  8. Their first match is one of my favorites ever. On the heels of Ospreay-Ricochet, Katsuyori Shibata made Will Ospreay prove that he could beat him without relying on high-flying moves. It was a turning point in Ospreay’s career, IMO.

I cannot wait for this long-awaited rematch

  9. If Shibata had never done all those headbutts, but I’d be too worried for an accidental head bump.

  10. There 1st match was okay. But Will was thinner and Shibata was on monster mode during that time. Will has strongly improved in the ring since then and due to Shibata not being 100%, they gonna have to slow down if they do have a rematch

  11. I mean he had to return fir a reason. He’s probably gonna go after Ospreay and the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship
