Mochi-wise, I will always have a place in my heart — and stomach — for matcha mochi stuffed with azuki.
As for dango? Never had any. I hope to change that one day.
black sesame daifuku will always be my favorite
Fried mochi… a Hawaiian festival version of Japanese mochi. Each festival has its own version. Didn’t have one I didn’t like!
This is my fave as well, my wife often pick up a box of three sticks of these at the groceries.
I’ve seen tourist vloggers not liking this. Especially the sauce, they say it’s weird to have a sweet soy sauce. I am so tempted to ask them what they think of teriyaki.
I like Sakura mochi and Goma Dango (mochi filled with azuki and covered with sesame seeds), but Mitarashi dango is my favorite.
(also freshly made mochi filled with Azuki near Nara station is one of my absolute favorites but I can’t just go to Nara every time I want it)
