Itinerary Feedback – Tokyo (only)

Hi all, going to Japan for 3 weeks from Nov 4th to 25th with 3 other friends. Due to different situations, we are all arriving in Japan at different times so we will be in Tokyo at the start and end of the trip for a cumulative 7 nights. Just wanted some feedback on the Tokyo only days and if I’m either doing too much and some recommendations for areas to visit or areas we should spend more time in.

Ideal days for me are to experience new districts of Tokyo, talk to locals (with the limited Japanese I’ve been learning) and soak in different vibes while walking around. Our way of travelling is to have a prepared area and districts of Tokyo near each other and then explore with the itinerary being more of a guiding path, rather than a checklist to complete.

**Sun Nov 04 (2 people):**

* Arrive at Haneda at 10:25am with hotel booked in Akasaka

Essentially undecided for this day so would appreciate some ideas for this based on the other days!
First plan was:

* Jingu Gaien Ginkgo Avenue
* Meiji Jingu or Hamarikyu Gardens
* Lunch at Tsujihan or Tsukiji Market
* Tea tasting at Sakurai
* Dinner/Drinks at Yurakucho & Ginza Corridor

or second plan was similar to the above but also chill around Ebisu and Nakameguro

**Nov 05:**

* Hie Shrine
* Check out and drop luggage at next hotel near Asakusa station
* Ameyoko
* Ueno Park
* Nezu Shrine
* Yanaka Ginza
* Rikiguen Gardens (for evening illumination)
* Friend arrives from Haneda at 8pm
* Undecided on going for drinks and dinner either at Yanaka Ginza or Hoppy Street

**Nov 06:**

* Day Trip to Nikko
* Dinner & drinks at Hoppy Street
* Explore Asakusa at night (if not done the night before)

**Nov 07:**

* Check out – send luggage
* Explore Asakusa – Sensoji & Nakamise Dori (in the morning)
* Travel to Shinjuku to get the bus to Kawaguchiko

After this, I will be travelling across Japan for another 2 weeks before 4 of us travel back to Tokyo! By this point, we will probably be staying up late at night to explore the nightlife of Tokyo so keep most of these evening plans might go until 2/3am.

**Nov 21:**

* Shinkansen – Osaka to Tokyo
* Flower arrangement at Sotetsu Foundation (2:30pm)
* Travel to hotel near Shin-Okubo
* Watch NJPW event at Korakuen Hall (6:30pm)
* Explore, eat and drink in Shinjuku at night

**Nov 22:**

* Morning walk in Shinjuku Gyoen
* Go to Cosme for skincare shopping for the gf back at home
* Explore Shimokitazawa
* Shibuya Sky for sunset
* Explore Daikanyama and Nakameguro (with dinner and drinks in one of these)

**Nov 23** \- anime shopping / gaming:

* Akihabara
* Koishikawa Korakuen
* Ikebukuro
* Explore Nakano – dinner and then visit JOJO-style bar DIO
* Koenji
* Kichijoji

**Nov 24:**

* Final shopping and packing
* Rent a car near Shinjuku
* Drive to Yokohama
* Visit Gundam Factory and Chinatown
* Vist Daikoku

**Nov 25:** Flight back to London at 9:45am from Haneda!

Please feel free to let me know if I need to be spending more time in certain areas and what the best options for my first day is since every other day fits our plans quite nicely. Also looking to see the best autumn/fall spots in Tokyo in the second half too so happy to hear about the best spots then!
