Just remembered it was just the 3 year anniversary of the United Empire and GOK’s debut

One question for y’all: do you think O-Khan’s career trajectory couldve been a lot better in the last 3 years, and could the next few years see greater improvement so that he becomes closer in status to his more successful contemporaries/R3W ?

  1. The handling of GOK has been kinda odd, in retrospect. He’s never really had a big breakout win and aside from the interim KOPW belt I think the only thing he has won has been the Tag Titles with Cobb, which they lost straight away? I feel like he would’ve been pushed after the story about him saving a girl from a sexual assault was big news in Japan. Him (and Wato) have maybe suffered from their entire post-excursion time in NJPW being in the pandemic, so that may have messed up any major plans for either of them.

Now the R3W and Yuya are back he feels like his time has kinda passed. Maybe constantly posting pics of him getting his balls massaged has annoyed the wrong person at Bushiroad.

On the other hand, if Will leaves soon he’s basically the top HW in United Empire (and is technically already the leader, according to Will) – Cobb is 41 and Henare isn’t going to be a top-tier guy. So maybe he gets pushed then?

  2. They included him in the presentation of young talent recently so I think they’ll have plans for him, including the fact that he was considered a pet project for a future ace based on his amateur background

  3. I say this as a guy who loves O-Khan, I feel like he’s probably gonna have a trajectory closer to Goto. A-S tier tag guy, B-B+ tier singles. Legit challenger, but not really likely to take home the big one.
