Long story short I had to leave Japan for a few months due to the passing of my little brother.
I came back home to Nagasaki Ken in the country and found [these in my bathroom](https://imgur.com/a/UpOUcXX). Here’s a [picture](https://imgur.com/a/TypQ1ZL) up close. I also found [this little guy in the kitchen](https://imgur.com/a/sSpI3rE). I called the landlord to meet to see if he knew what they were but he didn’t know. I’m used to a few here and there but what I walked into was an extreme amount and the most I’ve seen since I moved here since 2019. I’ve cleaned the house of cardboard where they resided the most, sprayed pesticide and planned with my realtor to get the cracks around my place caulked. Does anyone recognized what the pest are from the pictures I have? I sweep everyday but find more when I come back from work.

[Thermites](https://www.adfwebmagazine.jp/en/architect/life-in-an-old-japanese-house-vol-11-termites-in-japanese-homes/).
Looks like a serious infestation, your landlord will need to send in professionals for that job.
