I’m trying to decide what kind of bed to get and I noticed nitori has a really cool tatami bed, https://www.nitori-net.jp/ec/product/5644140s/
I’m wondering if it would be too much to deal with though and if you have to fold the futon every day? I’m also on a pretty high floor, so airing out the futon might be hard.
The other option is just get a western bed with a frame, does anyone know of any good firm cheap western mattresses that could be an option? Thank you.

My bed frame and mattress are both from Nitori.
After years of using those cheap mattrases from Nitori for on the tatami floor, we finally got a bed frame and mattrass from Nitori, it wasn’t cheap, but I don’t regret it 😀
