I am looking to buy a place in Setagaya and would like to start researching into typical house prices to get a sense of what is out there and to be able to recognize a good deal when I see one.
Could anyone share any good links they have and any advice if you have any please.
Thank you very much.

Check the excellent real estate wiki over at r/JapanFinance
Typical is to buy land, without or without a house, an had a new house built.
Land value remains and hopefully grows (slowly) over time, while building value goes down fast.
Most land has been parcelled off long time ago, so a real estate agent will get all the building requirements checked for you.
Other options: buying direct from developer; buying an apartment; renting forever.
In Japan, websites are always partial and inaccurate, and much of the information will be out of date or deceptive. Some properties online don’t even exist; they are unicorns meant to keep you believing.
So pajama warriors don’t win in Japan. You have to actually put on pants and walk to a real estate agency to ask a professional for the information you are looking for.
I use cowcamo. Really easy to use app.
