Any homeowners have success installing a pull-up bar?

I’d like to install one, but I can’t seem to think of any sturdy points where I can do so.

  1. I wouldn’t try it with Japanese walls as they don’t build houses with fat concrete blocks that you can drill into.

You are going to tear off your walls if you try it, just buy a dips machine that has a pull ups bar or a power rack.

  2. I haven’t done it, but you need to find the studs, preferably around a door frame to give you clearance.

Finding studs is a little more difficult, in my opinion, that NA because of the diagonal struts(?) in the walls. You could always hire someone from the local silver center to help you install it.

    Edit: [Here’s a similar question thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeImprovement/comments/eq0075/can_2x4_wooden_studs_support_a_wallmounted_pull/).

  3. If you want to install it into a wall you need to find the studs. a stud finder+ blueprints would help. Or you can just get a rack that stands on its own depending on the space you have.
