Need some help trying to locate a shrine. I have a photo of my grandmother Nobuko at a shrine in Toyama standing next to Komainu from maybe the late 1930’s. She has written on the back of the photo and translates to
Toyama Sea City
Nobuko Summer, 8th year of Showa 12
I have tried to make out the writing on the statue but can’t even colourising the photo to see make it out hasnt given any clues. Tried google lens to see if the location comes up even googled Toyama shrines and Toyama komainu and can’t match any similar locations or statues. Anyone have any idea where this could have been taken? Figuring it’s a temple by the sea and I would assume this statue would still exist.
