Plenty of items now take 3 days to arrive, which a while ago I can get the same item the next day or the day after depending on order time. Now only grocery items can be delivered the next day. Did something change within the delivery time policy in Amazon Japan? I have prime membership and even though I apply filter “Get it tomorrow”, the items shown says will be delivered on Wednesday if I order today. I live in Tokyo 23 Wards btw.
Edit: Thank you for the replies, it’s probably because of prime day last week. Looks like it’s back to normal now. Just checked the same item again this afternoon and the next day delivery is back! Glad I waited a bit.

Wasn’t there a prime sale or something just a week ago? They’re probably just catching up with the shipments.
I’m in Tokyo. I ordered two small things on Wednesday, the site said delivery on Saturday, but they were delivered on Friday anyway
This always happens after a Prime Event, Which we just had. But it’s getting back to normal now.
Prime Day, as others have already said.

Waiting won’t get you your package sooner. If you had ordered yesterday or whenever you saw the longer delivery estimate, it would still have been delivered as quickly as possible. Amazon just gives the longer delivery time estimates when their logistics system is backed up.
My order from Prime Day had two delays already, so they are pretty busy. Or they just don’t want to ship my stuff, idk.
