Recently I’ve been suffering from a severe case of nostalgia and I’ve wanted to re-watch old films by Abbot and Costello or It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, but every classic old movie I look for on Amazon Prime for example says “not available in your region”?
Is that because some defunct or dinosaur distribution company is sitting its fat ass on the rights, or are they actually on a domestic streamer like Gyao?
Do I have to sail the high seas?
I am not interested in acquiring physical media but I’m happy to pay.

Have you tried U-Next, they have some good stuff in the classics section.
Is [Bflix](https://bflix.to/home) (on a fire stick etc to avoid popups) illegal here?
Plex offers free streaming of many such old movies.

I think YouTube has a lot of old classics for free, full movies, unless the channels got closed down.
Honestly you’re best off just getting a VPN subscription to Criterion Channel or other streaming services like Max, if it’s in your budget.

I got tired of streaming services in Japan.
VPN+ Pirate life is the best 🙃
iTunes Store has a surprisingly deep library.
