Hi there- I’ve got an old PS3 in the apartment that I’m looking to get rid of (I know it’s old- it had been demoted to blu-ray player until now). The problem is that it came from America, so used electronic stores don’t seem to want it… any idea of how I can hand it off somewhere so it can at least escape being tossed in a landfill or incinerated?

Its worth about 4000-6000 yen on Facebook marketplace.
You can also just give it away on mottainai groups.
If it’s fatty, I might be interested
Don’t the small-electronics disposal places recycle them to some extent? like the boxes to dispose of electronics in the trash/recycling area some supermarkets and the ward office. Dunno if I’d trust it if I was worried about keeping stuff out of landfills but might be worth some googling if nothing else works out.

One of the best places to find/ get rid of stuff.
