I have Amazon Japan shipping books to Europe quite often, and it still does work for me. I have made the experience in the past though that certain Amazon sellers (or sometimes even when directly sold by Amazon?) would not ship overseas..
It probably just means that the vendor you chose particularly to buy the item from can’t ship it to your location.
Click on the item that says that, and there should be a “See all buying options” below the image. That will list out the vendors that CAN ship to your location.
I’ve been noticing that recently with my list as well. Not sure if is due to the rising cost or additional requirements in shipping that some vendors no longer have the ability to ship overseas.

I’m having the same issue 🙁 This sucks, I rely on them for so many titles and was gonna order the newest アルマジロのジョン volume today. Now there’s just no option. Argh, Amazon, betrayal!
