Moving to Japan early November and need to know some phone plans recommendations? I’m not sure about the whole SIM card situations, but I use my data quite a lot but as far as phone calls I don’t really call anyone often.
Can anyone share their experience with phone services in Japan?
Also, I have an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro Max. Although I may upgrade to an iphone 15 (unlocked)

Unless you already have a registered address with a 住民票 it will be pretty much impossible to get any non-data plan with the exception of a company like Mobal. Their prices are very high, and I ended up buying 2 different sim cards + plans from them before switching to iijmio.
It’s much easier to just get an esim also, instead of physical sim cards. But unfortunately my phone didn’t support it.
