The YouTuber named “芦屋岳 / Ashiya Gaku” Is A Really Good Gaming Channel/Resource For Listening + Reading Practice Of Japanese…

There is this YouTuber: [https://www.youtube.com/@AshiyaGaku](https://www.youtube.com/@AshiyaGaku)

He was recommended here a while back, but I wanted to draw some attention to his channel because it offers excellent listening and reading practice for the following reasons. He mostly plays visual novel-based games that display the text along with Kanji, and he reads everything out loud. So, even if you cannot read a Kanji or it’s reading, he reads the words aloud, and you can hear them. You can easily identify the verb, noun, etc., and take notes or add them to your vocabulary deck/list in Anki or whatever SRS system you use, for example.

Many YouTubers simply play the games without reading the text, which makes it difficult for Japanese learners to navigate or enjoy these videos because they don’t understand the content. However, this YouTuber does read the text, and I highly recommend checking him out for the immersion alone. Additionally, this is raw material that you can expose yourself to.
