36M Filipino American from California. 3rd time going to Japan but first time going solo. Will be in Tokyo from Nov 6-14. Be interested in grabbing drinks/food at an izakaya or even checking out the new Kabukicho Tower.
Hey guys, I’m a 34M from the US going solo to Japan for the first time in November!
I will be in Tokyo from November 24-26, Nagoya from November 26-27, Kyoto from November 27-29, and Osaka from November 29-December 1.
While I am excited to travel on my own, I would also love to meet people to talk and share experience with during the trip. Since this is my first visit to Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka, I am especially excited to explore their regional dishes. Please let me know if you would like to try some eateries/attractions together!

traveling to japan solo for the second time. for the first part of my trip i’ll be in tokyo from 11/5-11/11. i’ll be headed out of the country for a work trip and returning back to tokyo from 11/20-11/25
about me: 30/F/US. i’m interested in live music (preferably techno/electronic – mitsuki, dogenzaka the church, womb). thrifting, izakayas, bar hopping, and general exploring
a lot of my itinerary is already scheduled during the day (have several day trips already planned for both parts of my trip) so mostly looking for others to bop around/get dinner/drinks with in the evenings in golden gai, omoide yokocho, and nonbei yokocho
Hey folks. 33M from Australia. This will be my 6th time in Japan, most recent trip being earlier this year. Despite this, my recent trips I’ve more been showing first timer friends around and letting the wind guide me with no real itinerary so I probably have seen a similar level of places as someone who’s been twice so don’t expect me to be a seasoned vet hehe.
First part of my trip will be solo in Tokyo from Nov 10-17. Then I’ll be meeting a Japanese friend in Osaka and Kyoto. I don’t speak any (meaningful level of) Japanese outside of the usual phrases.
Looking for people to explore neighbourhoods and grab some meals with during my time in Tokyo. Also down for drinks at night. Staying in Shinjuku.
Areas i’d love to check out: Anywhere really but Koenji, Nakameguro, Kichijoji, Daikanyama, walking national parks, etc. Also down for the usual Harajuku, Shibuya, etc. I like racking up steps during the day which allows more guilt free food gobbling and drinking at night.
Bit about myself: am a katsu/sashimi/yakitori fiend, love my coffee, have seen a decent amount of mainstream anime (although not into otaku culture), enjoy hip hop/jazz music, car enthusiast. I work as a family doctor by trade. Reason I love visiting Japan is the food, the politeness of Japanese people and just the general cleanliness and safety of the country (as long as you don’t follow touts!).
