Hello! I want to bring my niece out for a fun time during nov or dec as a Christmas present. She’s around 4th year elementary and lives next to Disney so that’s out. We took her to tondemi last year already. Any one with kids can recommend some fun places around Tokyo or a little further out? Considering Puroland or Tobudoubutsu park. Doesn’t have to be an amusement park or zoo – I’d love to hear where parents usually save for a special occasion!

KidZania in Tokyo is fun.
Our youngster (same age) enjoys going to *onsen*s and *sento*s, (sometimes) a petting zoo (*e.g.,* the one at Inokashira Zoo), an climbing small mountains (*e.g.,* Mt. Takao). Our nieces from overseas wanted to go to Harajuku at the same age(s).
Pokémon store and Pokémon cafe. My kids were ecstatic when I took them there.
Asobono
Cup noodle museum is great for kids
Ghibli museum or the Harry Potter WB Studio
Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park in Yamanashi is always popular. You can train from Shinjuku starion to Kawaguchiko station quite easily, and then just use the local train to the park which is just one train stop over.
[Kodomo no Kuni](https://www.kodomonokuni.org/) is nice.
