Hi everyone, my boyfriend and I are planning a first-time trip to Japan in December. Since we’re not entirely sure if we’re making the greatest decisions here, I would greatly welcome any input on what to tweak or improve. In addition, I had some inquiries regarding…
1. Does Tokyo -> Yokohama -> Kamakura/Enoshima -> Hakone -> Mt. Fuji -> Tokyo have a Rail Pass?
2. Is the Enoshima Kamakura Free Pass or Hakone Free Pass worth getting?
3. Do I really need two hotels, one in Odwara and one in Kamakura/Enoshima, or should I close one?

You should pick a few things to do one day at a time and go with the flow. This a Japan Rail schedule, my head hurts thinking of this.
I wouldn’t really schedule out your itinerary to the second, minute, hour unless you have a reservation somewhere that you need to be. You aren’t taking into account the time it might take if, for example, you see something along the way that interests you because now you need to be somewhere else in under an hour. Also, like bathroom breaks, long lines to get in somewhere, delayed trains, etc. I mean travel however you prefer but I think you should have a general plan of things you’re wanting to do each day and then see how long they take you and go from there.
