Usually buying things straight from Apple takes a ridiculously long time for some reason.
Not me, but my friend got 15 Pro Max through Docomo (don’t know how many gb). He signed up on the day they announced availability and waited around 2 weeks. The price through Docomo was (I think) around ¥270,000
It just got released, so it’s normal to take this long, like every year. Just be glad you’ve reserved them, be patient you will get it!
I reserved mine on September 15th, got it on October 7th. Pro max 256.
I placed an order a month ago and the expected delivery was 11/16-11/23 but it ended up arriving today (so a few weeks earlier). I’m in Hokkaido for reference.
Stock seems that very from vendor to vendor.wife could get promax on the spot from our neighborhood store, but other place 30+ day wait Japan is funky like with new releases.
Ordered pro max 256 black on Oct 21st. Website said delivery between Nov 8-15.
Got it yesterday on 26th. (Bought directly on apple store online)
Hey OP, I’m in Tokyo, just like you. I got mine a month ago w/out having to wait a month or more, only 1 day after trying to reserve one. I’m not sure if it’ll work for you too, but there’s no harm trying.
Select the exact configuration you want. If you find it available in multiple Apple stores, I recommend **Apple Omotesando**. And here’s why: that site is technically only for if you choose to make a new contract with Docomo, AU, or SoftBank, **not SIM-free**. However, the staff at Omotesando were so kind, I explained to them how long I had spent refreshing that site to get just one, I was allowed to pay one-time and get it SIM-free.
Later, when I had a question and called the Ginza store to ask, I was told I should never have been allowed to get one, so it seems like Omotesando is less strict about it than somewhere like Ginza.

In general they give you the worst case scenario, most likely you will get it before 32 days, almost certainly won’t take more than 32 days but there are obviously no guarantees.

If you’re not particular about the color you can probably find a retail location that has stock to pick up immediately. It’s how I purchased a 256 Pro Max.
I ordered an iPhone 15 Pro directly from Apple. The delivery date was supposed to be 3 weeks which would have been Nov 1st. It arrived in 5 days. I also ordered my wife an iPhone 15 Pro Max which had a delivery date from Nov. 8th but it arrived today.
Both of the orders arrived earlier than expected.
My partner and I ordered the 15 pro and promax on the first day of pre-orders from SoftBank. We both received our phones on the first day of availability
Saw 1TB model in AU, overpriced AF. Can’t be bothered to wait. Arrived in 2 days.
