  1. Ppl will still go to Shibuya, just join the line groups of the event and prepare to be moving most of the time like last year .

  2. Shibuya will still be head and shoulders above any other part of Tokyo, both in terms of popularity and in terms of festive spirit. If you want breathing room, literally all you have to do is leave the scramble square — check out the nightclub street in Dogenzaka, or if you prefer Udagawacho, hang out near the Tasuichi and the big FamilyMart. Plenty of bars and other good places to go in those areas.

If you really want alternatives, Ikebukuro and Higashi-Shinjuku have a good number of events going on. While Roppongi has children-oriented events like the parade, but not much else.

  3. go back to the good old days of Yamanote Halloween Train

let regular ppl have their streets back.

  4. I suppose that people from abroad who live in Japan visit Roppongi, just as they did before. Otaku cosplayers go to Ikebukuro because there are events happening there.

  5. Everybody will still be going to Shibuya tonight Saturday the 28th. It’s already quite crowded apparently. They put barriers up to block Hachiko until Wednesday so obviously the city knows what’s going to happen
