Nobodies perfect, I get it, but a telephone is kind of a big deal.

I saw on the news that KDDI was “thinking about” offering some kind of compensation. It shouldn’t be something to even think about, there should be at the very least some rebate for the days that we couldn’t use the service.
I can understand that problems happen so I wasn’t (too) upset about the situation, but that statement really pissed me off.
The answer is: dual sim. Best cost performance is i.a. combining an OCN Mobile One SIM (Â¥500/month) with a Rakuten Mobile eSIM/SIM. Also nice because of the flexibility to just use more or less data without changing the plan.
No more outages and better coverage (docomo 4G+5G and Rakuten 4G+5G), only pay the data that you use.
Never ever get AU they use this weird kind of frequency where after finishing up your contract the phone is essentially like a brick because it doesn’t work with other networks ( even if you unlock it). And none of my foreign phones worked with AU. To be honest, fuck all major Japanese telecommunication companies in general with their over-priced plans.
