6 Day Tokyo Itinerary Check! Open to Suggestions / Critiques

Hello! I will be traveling to Japan in a couple of weeks in December with a friend of mine and we’ll be staying in Shinjuku City. I made a rough itinerary for our trip in Tokyo specifically (the other half of our trip will be spent in Osaka/Kyoto/Nara/Kobe), so I was hoping to get some advice on how feasible this itinerary is and if there are things I am missing!

* Get situated and head to Shinjuku

**Day 6 -**

* Walk around Ginza
* Take train for Osaka
* Bullet train bento for lunch XD

*I also realized that we didn’t include ANY bakeries/cafes/desert places (not because we didn’t want to go, but because we genuinely forgot to) despite the fact that Japan is renowned for this sort of thing, so I am open to any of your recommendations!*

Thank you all in advance!!

  1. Enjoy – I’ve been living outside Tokyo for 3 years. Japan is no utopia, but it’s definitely a great place!

  2. For day 4, hope the 5 hours at Maenohara will be sufficient for you haha. When I planned it with my family in April, I ended up cancelling my entire afternoon and evening and just chilling with my family. We book private slots (men and women cannot bathe together due to city law so we booked different timeslots) and chilled until sundown, like 9 or 10pm. There’s also a Aeon mall nearby that my husband went to in the afternoon and then he came right back over for another bathing session.

  3. Day 2 Takeshita St doesn’t really open until 11am. I would recommend going to Meiji Jingu shrine first, and earlier before it gets too busy.

    Day 3 – Nakamise-dori is literally right outside Senso-ji so you might as well go then as well
