Please advice on what to do with my sister in law situtation/question

I think this is the correct group for this question

My sister in law wants to work again here in Japan, she worked in Japan before but she misrepresented her information in the application; the immigration didn’t notice so they granted her visa to work here. after some years she returned back to her country get married and have family so the immigration still didn’t know the misrepresentation part. now she wants to go back here again to work, but she is wondering on what she should do because of her past mistake. should she just let it go or does she need an apology letter for it

edit: according to her, this happened 8 years ago, she input wrong starting date to one of her work experience to made it look she work on that company more than a year even she was only been there for around 4 months

Don’t voluntarily bring it up. If they ask, she should be contrite and humble, but I doubt it will come up.

If the mistake was something serious it would have been caught the first time. So don’t worry about it and try not to repeat the mistake again.

  3. What kind of informatino did she misrepresent? Work history? Previous salary? Used a fake degree to get a work visa? Fake passport to pretend to be someone she isn’t? Without proper information noone can help you.
