hey all. I’ve been sick lately and I all signs point towards the flu. I’d prefer not to incur extra costs by getting tested at a clinic, so does anyone know if you can still purchase rapid tests at the pharmacy or drug store? If so, are they behind the counter or on the shelves? sorry for all the questions, I just want to have an idea before I drag myself out. thanks in advance!

The cost will end up about the same whether you buy it yourself at the drug store or go to the clinic. This is because at the clinic it is covered by insurance. For a check up, flu test, and tamiflu prescription (if positive) it would be about ¥3000.
Last year when I got the flu, I ordered mine from Amazon. Should cost around ¥1000

Amazon has a 5 pack for about Y1000.
