I’m planning on writing a manga that’s set in Japan, mainly in a high school setting, and I wanted to do some research. I don’t really know where to start though, since there are a lot of resources out there and I don’t know which ones are reliable or not
Which ones would you guys recommend?

I’m not sure where it went but thejapanesepage.com has some resources about the different prefectures and culture and had a course about Japanese names.
I hired my Japanese tutor on iTalki. He charges a SUPER reasonable rate (think sub 20 an hour) and puts a ton of effort into our lessons.
I’d suggest hiring a tutor based in Japan to help!
My tutor constantly adds cultural context and actual usage vs textbook usage of terms. Has helped my Japanese learning a lot.
