**Osaka**

*Day 1*: Arrive in Airport (2 hours to get to hotel – check in)

Get pocket wifi at airport 10G – go to hotel & check in

Noon: Go to Kuromon Market

*Bluefin Tuna, Grilled unagi,Uni, Taiyaki*

PM: Ebisubashi Bridge

Grizzly (thrift store) Closes 8:00 pm

*Day 2*

AM: Himeji Jo / Osaka Castle

Noon: Kokoen / Osaka Casle

PM: return to Osaka

*Day 3*: Going to Nara

Grab & go breakfast

Nara Park & Todaiji

**Kyoto**

Day 4: Arashiyama District

AM: Arashiyama Bamboo Grove

Noon Okochi Sanso Garden

Sogenchi Pond Garden

PM: Kinkakuji (Golden Temple) & Ryoanji

Day 5: Gion (Higashiyama Ward) ‘Geisha District’

AM: Kodaiji Temple \* small temple

Noon: Sannenzaka (shopping) Ninenzaka (homes)

Evening: Kiyozumi Dera

Day 6: (DONE)

Am: Imperial Palace (Book reservations) /Shusui-tei Teahouse

Noon: Nishiki Market (food) Yasaka Shrine

PM: Nanzen-ji Temple & Philosopher’s Path

**Shizuoka**

*Day 7*: Leave for Shizuoka

Check out hotel

Take ?? Trainline to get to Shizuoka

go to Tea Museum & Tea Ceremony

*Day 8*: Shizuoka

(spend the day in Shizuoka)

PM: Head to tokyo via Train // check into hotel

**Tokyo**

*Day 9*: Shibuya

Tsukiji Morning

Meiji Jingu

Kapital & Beams Plus

Nintendo Tokyo

*Day 10*: Tokyo (Museum Day)

Yasukuni Shrine

Imperial Palace

Tokyo National Museum

TEAM LAB?

*Day 11* : Sayano Day

Ghibli Museum

Shimokitazawa

Live concert somewhere

*Day 12*: go home to vancouver

If anyone has any tips regarding general travel in Japan based on my destinations please let me know. There are no food/restaurant stops because my friends are recommending me restaurants but if you have any recommendations, please let me know. Ill try and answer all the questions I can.

  1. A recommendation for Kyoto, the Hozugawa boat trip is up and running again. We did an early start and got the train out of Kyoto to the mountains and got the 09:00 boat. This takes you down the mountain on the river through some gorgeous scenery and drops you off right at Arishiyama (we were there for 11:00). Worth checking out if it sounds like your thing.
