Residence tax receipt PR

recently I have been asked to submit residence tax receipt from the immigration. But I don’t have it all.
What can be done in this situation?
Will appreciate your answers:::

  1. It depends on how you paid your residence tax. If it was deducted from your salary then show your payslip. If you paid at combini then you should received a small piece of paper, that’s your receipt. Etc…

  2. You should be able to get a certificate of taxes paid (including confirmation that you haven’t been late on payments) from your local city hall. There will be some options, get the one that covers the longest possible time period (probably three years). In Japanese its called 納税証明書 (nouzei shoumei-sho).

  3. The receipt is to prove you paid it on-time.

    You need to include a note for the reason outlining why you cannot provide the requested receipts.

    If immigration deem your reason believable and justifiable, then all good. If they suspect you’re BS’ing due to not paying on time (fyi not I’m not accusing you, just outlining immigration perspective) then you’re probably out of luck.

    This is because you need to prove ON TIME payments for the last recent years during the periods you were doing ordinary collection during the required time-frame:

    – spouse of Japanese national/SPR/PR = 3 years of on time payments (unless applying after 1 year of consecutive residency, then only 1 year needed)

    – HSP 70 points = 3 years of on time payments

    – HSP 80 points = 1 year of on time payments

    – long term resident = 5 year of on time payments

    – 10 years consecutive residency = 5 years of on time payments.
