Tourism Board Freelancing? – Check my comment

1. Does anyone have experience working with tourism boards here in Japan? I am very interested in exploring more of the country and working with local boards to encourage tourism and advertise what the areas have to offer.

   I’m currently in Osaka for 2 more months on a 3 month tourist visa and I’m looking for ways to stay long term. I’ve found that I can apply for a COE and an artist visa while still in country and that would allow me to stay for potentially a year. I need to demonstrate my work history as a photographer, which I can – I’ve been working for the past 7 years, and how I will be making money, at least $2,000 a month, while living here. If I can successfully contact and negotiate a few projects with some tourism boards I think that I’ll have enough to start the application process.
