  1. I’m doing some nenmatsu chosomething procedures using my company internal website. At some point I’m asked if I agree for my informations to be stored electronically, and it refers to the below link.

Does this mean that there won’t be those endless pieces of papers to fulfill for nenmatsu chonanchara?

It’s my first full year in Japan, last year I was working in the same company but had to deal with all the papers.

Also, how to figure out the tax deductions I can apply for ? For instance there is 社会保険料控除 but my shakaihoken is paid directly from my salary and I don’t remember having a slip telling me the amount that can be deduced from tax.

  2. I’m looking for frozen wild shrimp.

Ikea has had [these shrimp from Norway](https://www.ikea.com/jp/ja/p/sjoerapport-peeled-shrimps-msc-certified-frozen-30347858/), although I haven’t seen them at a Tokyo city Ikea in a long time. Gyomu Super has very occasionally had a similar product during the last year or two.

The vast majority of shrimp sold in supermarkets here appear to have been farmed in India. While I’m sure that I eat these while dining out, I would like to avoid them at home if I can, given the wide variety of concerns that have been voiced about intensive farming of shrimp.

  3. I’m currently restarting my N3 studies. I’ve been living in Japan for quite a while and I have basic conversational skills, but I’m very lacking in the vocabulary department. My listening skills are quite good too, but again, not much vocabulary. I was wondering if anybody has had any success with studying for N3 or above without using English (or whatever their native language may be). Living in Japan makes it possible for me to internalize the words by just using them a lot and I would love to be able to study for N3 by using some kind of only Japanese resource that provides simple explanations (using N4 and N5 vocabulary) to N3 vocabulary words. Something like: ねこ 毎日魚を食べたりすごく寝たりする動物

  4. I got a part-time job offer but they don’t want me to keep my second job as “backup” if they don’t assign me enough shifts. Should I keep my job and not tell them? (student btw)

  5. I recently canceled a hotel reservation on rakuten travel and have to pay half the fee but during cancellation there was no option for a credit card. Will it just charge my rakuten card on file?

  6. For anyone who uses Sony Bank. I received the little digital One Time Password device thing to set up my account. Will I ever need to use this thing again?

  7. Any dating advice for a late 20s guy with a minimum wage job?

    Looks: 5/10
    Wealth: 3/10
    Intelligence: Below average
