Go to a sushi bar or buy your fish bulk?? 😎


Managed to get some bluefin with awesome marbling ($25/lbs), a bluefin collar $10 (delicious grilled), fresh uni flown in from Mexico ($68), squid (ika) ($15) from Japan, and Atlantic salmon ($7/lbs). Made some sushi rice and had the best lunch at a fraction of the price!! Skip the crappy uni at your local all you can eat joint and start buying from suppliers!!

  1. Sushi bar no questions asked. If I buy a hunk of tuna like that, I won’t trust myself with it. 100% going to take a bite out of it, caveman style

  2. Really wish there were options like that around me. Living in central Minnesota, we’re about as far as a guy can get from fresh, sushi grade fish that won’t absolutely break the bank. Looks absolutely gorgeous, though, and I am extremely envious! Enjoy!
