  1. $3.5 for a single salmon nigiri at most half decent places here 1500 miles from the ocean in Minnesota

  2. I usually can restrict myself while eating as I hate feeling stuffed and sleepy after but I’d leave there with a belly ache, damn!

  3. That’s insane lol. But I assume you meant $1.62 per plate . Korea is affordable for westerners but not Vietnam level cheap.

I just got back from China though and got really good quality sushi , 10 courses for under $16.

  4. Fun fact the last 2 times in a row I’ve had all you can eat sushi I threw up as soon as I stood up and walked outside (after paying lol) like it’s not their fault I always wanna “get my money’s worth” so I eat until when I stand up I realized I’ve made a terrible mistake. I also chug 3 bowls of miso soup because I’m addicted to that shit. I feel bad for whoever had to clean that 2 sundays in a row but I made it off the main path lol. Fuck I want sushi rn 🍣

  5. Dammit, I was in Seoul in June, I didn’t even think to explore sushi restaurants. OTOH, I had enough bbq and fried chicken that I didn’t have a lot of room left over for other food.

  6. Korean food prices rock. Probably rock less if you’re a local, but if you’re bringing dollars to won it’s great.

  7. I just went to a Sushiro in Kyoto. I thought we had spent a minimum of $100 and it was less than $40. We had at least 20-25 plates lol
