Hi I am a Japan PR and wanting to do a name change via deed poll back in my home country before making my passport and then coming to Japan to update my Zairyu card.
Is it true that I will need to do this Zairyu card change within 2 weeks of my deed poll? Someone mentioned this to me but I can’t find mention of it online.

You’re supposed to update it within two weeks of receiving your new passport, which proves your name change. Bring both your old and new passports to immigration when you go to change your zairyu card.
