So today my card was delivered, by Sagawa ask for katakana name but i only have romaji, they won’t budge so i give up.
Called the support they said they will send me a envelope for me to fill and my number card. My question is does my number card 有効期限 will allow them to cancel the card? It’s less than 4 month.
I have a 3 years job contract, so i obviously will extend my stay. So is it safe to send them the card copy, or should i use 住民票 instead?

My health insurance card is all in katakana. Isn’t that an acceptable form of ID? Rakuten wouldn’t accept my application form a few months ago when I entered katakana for my name because it wasn’t exactly like my residence card in English. Not sure how you got around it without being exactly like your residence card.
I don’t think the expiration date of My Number Card will be a problem.
It’s only ID and not visa. Even if it expires, it does not mean that you can’t live in Japan anymore. Besides, you can renew it only 3 months before the expiration date. So it does not make sense if they think it’s a problem just because your card expires in 4 months.
Get rakuten to send it to you in your actual name.
