Hi guys! I will be doing a 2 week Trip from Osaka to Tokyo from 24 Mar – 8 Apr and I am planning to use the Hokuriku Arch JR pass for the 1st week (Solo) and the 2nd week entirely in Tokyo
I am kind of unsure about what to do apart from Kanazawa. As I don’t think that the Alpine route will be opened yet. This is my current plan:
24 -26 Mar (Sun-Tues) → Osaka-Kyoto
27 Mar (Wed) → Kanazawa
28 Mar (Thurs) → Gokayama,
Nanto29 Mar (Fri) → Noto Peninsula vs Fukui (KIV)
30 Mar (Sat) → Nagano
31 Mar (Sun) → Nagano (Shibu Onsen)
1 Apr (Mon) → Tokyo!
So I guess I have a few questions:
1. Any recommendations for me in terms of other cities or attractions to visit?
2. I am also considering visiting Noto Peninsula but am not sure how to slot it into my schedule, any suggestions on whether it should be before or after Gokayama? As well as where I should stay haha The alternative would be Fukui
3. Should I spend 2 days at Nagano or is it better to spend more time at Kanzawa
4. Does anyone know where to buy the Gokayama Free Kippu Pass for the bus to Gokayama? Or is it no longer a thing
5. Is it too ambitious to travel to so many different sites in this short period?
6. I don’t think that any of the cities (between kyoto and tokyo) are known for shopping but are there any good shopping streets/malls?
Thank you so much in advance!!Note: Unfortunately my previous post was taken down, but thanks so much to those who reply :))
