Working Holidays in Japan – Tips/ Ideas/ Recommendations?
Hi guys, I’m planning to head to Japan to on a working holiday from Feb 2024 – July/ Aug 2024, dates are flexible and I hope to extend my trip if I can find a footing there.
I’ve been doing research about wwoofing and I’ll likely sign up for a membership, but I also wanted to check if anyone had other suggestions about finding work outside farming? I’m also interested in traditional crafts and helping out at art studios, inns, ski resorts etc – not sure where to get started to look for these jobs.
Lastly, anyone here did woofing before? Any recommendations on when I should start reaching out to hosts? Is it too early to reach out now? And since I’ve got quite a couple of months available, any tips on how long I should apply to stay with each host?
Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙂

I arrived to Tokyo at the end of July via working holiday visa. Found couple of jobs in just 3 days. Currently I’m working as a English teacher at a private kindergarten and I’m living with a very nice host family in a good area of Tokyo. Sofar everything is 10/10 ( I found the host family at homii.jp )
