  1. Seems like you really enjoy ghibli. Consider staying in toyama for a night (likely Nov 28 after Shirakawago/Takayama) and going to the [Kinro Ghibli special exhibition](http://kinro-ghibli.com/). You can free up a day by either cutting the Nikko day trip (not much to see in December), or Dec 3 (Osaka Castle is like a one hour destination and does not require the whole day).

Have you already purchased tickets? They are very competitive during foliage season.

  2. You know this already from your comment, but depending on your entrance time, you most likely will not make it to the Kodama Cafe. I live right near Osu and it takes us about 1.5 hours to get back home after the ghibli park. 😵

Definitely make sure you see the Mei and the baby Catbus movie in the warehouse! It was so adorable. My husband and I teared up and the girls behind us were full on sobbing just from nostalgia. So adorable. 🥲

  3. I don’t suggest doing any animal cafes but especially any exotic ones like the mipig one you have mentioned. They’re unethical, cruel, and just sad.

Also don’t suggest doing the go karts, they’re hated by most locals including me and they’re loud, disruptive, and dangerous.
